Love my new scarf!

I just received my 'Écharpe en alpaga' and it's even more beautiful in person! The color is vibrant and it's incredibly soft. I've been wanting a piece from Maco Calderon for ages, and this did not disappoint. The packaging was lovely too. I'm already eyeing a 'Bonnet en maille' for my next order. Such a luxurious feel. Absolutely recommend this brand!

Good poncho, slow shipping

I purchased a 'Poncho en alpaga' and the quality of the knitwear is very good, soft and warm. It looks exactly like the pictures online. My only minor gripe was the shipping time; it took about 10 days to reach me in California, which felt a bit long. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about the tracking, though. Overall, a solid product for the price, but they could speed up delivery a bit.

Always reliable, great quality

Another fantastic purchase from Maco Calderon. I ordered the 'Pull en alpaga' this time. It feels just as soft and well-made as the 'Cardigan en laine' I got last year. Consistency is key for me, and they always deliver on quality. Shipping was prompt, arrived in 6 days to Seattle, which is standard for them.

Decent value for a coat

I bought the 'Manteau en laine' during a sale. I was looking for a good quality coat that wouldn't break the bank, and this fit the bill. The material feels substantial and well-made for what I paid. I signed up for the newsletter for the introductory discount, which helped. It arrived in about a week. Overall, I feel I got a good deal on a nice coat.

Saw some pretty nice stuff on their site. Is there a first-time buyer discount or something if I sign up for their newsletter?

S Steve 4 weeks ago
Yeah, I got 10% off my first order when I signed up for emails. It popped up pretty quick after I joined.

They usually have a welcome offer for newsletter sign-ups. I think it's usually 10%, but check your inbox after signing up, they send the code there.

Hey, wondering about the sizing on these alpaca sweaters. I'm usually a medium in US brands, should I stick to that or size up/down for Maco Calderon?

N Nina 1 month ago
I found them pretty true to size for a relaxed fit, got a medium and it was perfect. My friend said the same.

Hmm, I think it depends on the specific item. For the ponchos, it's more forgiving, but for a fitted sweater, maybe check the measurements if they have them on the product page. I sized up once and it was a bit too big.

Thinking of getting a scarf, but like, what if it's not quite right? How's their return policy? Easy to send stuff back from the US?

J Jared Z. 3 weeks ago
I returned a vest last month, it was pretty straightforward. You just gotta follow their instructions on the site and mail it back. No fuss.

Returns were easy enough, but just keep in mind you might have to cover the return shipping cost back to them, since they're based in Paris. So it's not like Amazon where it's always free.

Anyone know how long shipping usually takes to, like, New York City? I want to get one of those cardigans for a trip next month.

R Rosa 1 month ago
I'm in California and mine took about a week and a half, so NYC might be similar. They do ship from Paris though, so plan for at least a week.

yeah, they ship international, but it's not super fast. I'd give it 10-14 days to be safe, customs can sometimes hold things up.

Are these really handmade and ethical? Like, it says Peruvian and natural fibers, but sometimes brands just say that. Does it feel legit?

R Raj Patel 1 month ago
Totally legit. You can really tell the quality when you get it, feels super premium. And they talk a lot about their ethical sourcing, it seems genuine from what I've seen.

Yeah, I looked into it before buying my poncho. They emphasize the handcrafted stuff and working with artisans in Peru. The materials feel amazing too, definitely not some cheap knock-off.
